Listed below are the most common questions asked when shopping on the Transtools website.

How do I register?

You can register either before shopping or during checkout. To register before shopping, click the Register link at the top of the page and you will be presented with the registration form. When completed, click the Submit and Continue button. You can then proceed to add items to your basket and proceed straight to checkout.

Alternatively, add the items to the basket you wish to purchase, click the checkout button and you will be presented with your basket. Clicking on the Transtools Checkout button will then take you to the login/register page. Click on the Register and Checkout button and complete the registration form. When completed, click the Submit and Continue button.

Why do I need to register with Transtools.co.uk?

Registering with Transtools.co.uk will you keep track of your orders placed online. Your personal details are securely stored so you will not need to enter your address details each time you want to place an order. Registering also allows you to subscribe to our newsletters and special offer promotions.

How do I sign in to my account?

Click the Login link at the top of any page and enter your email address and password, then click the Login button. You will now see Welcome Back and your name at the top of the page.

How do I know if I am logged in to my account?

When you are logged into your account, your name, Logout and My Account will appear at the top of every page.

I tried to Sign In but I receive a message stating 'Login failed - Either your email address or password was incorrect or you are not registered with our web site' , why?

Check that the email address is correct and re-enter the password. The password is CASE Sensitive, so ensure that you use the correct capitalisation. If you are still having problems, click the 'Forget your password' link, enter your email address, click the 'Send Password' button and a new temporary password will be generated for you and sent to your registered email address. When you receive this, login to your account, go to the My Account page and click the Change Password link to amend the password to one you have chosen yourself.

If you still cannot login, your details are not in our database and you will have to register your details to proceed.

How do I edit my account options?

When you are signed in to your account, you can click the 'My Account' link at the top of any Transtools.co.uk page to view your account details. From this page you can update your account by clicking: Personal Info, Order History, Change Password or Newsletter links to change your information.

Personal Info

Change your title, first name, surname, company name, email, address, telephone and mobile numbers..Once you have updated the details, click the Update Account button to make these changes.

View Your Saved Baskets

Click this option to view any saved baskets you have. Please see the How do I save a basket? help section for more details.

Order History

Here you can view all current and previous orders.

Change Password

Here you can change you password for your account.

Newsletter

Here you can subscribe or unsubscribe to our newsletters.

How do I find a product?

There are 3 ways to find a product you are looking for.

a. Use the menu system on the left and browse the categories for the products you are looking for.

b. Enter a product code or name of product into the search box at the top of the page and click 'Search'.

c. Browse by brand. If you are looking for a specific product by a certain brand, click the drop down brand box at the top left of the web site to find the brand you are looking for.

How do I view a larger image or more details about the product?

To view more information about a product, click the 'Info' button and you will be presented with the product information page. If you wish to see a larger view of the image, click on the thumbnail picture and a larger view will be presented.

I've found the product I am looking for, how do I purchase it?

To purchase the item, click on the 'Buy' button and it will be added to the shopping basket. If the item has options, you will have to choose the desired option first and the click the 'Buy' button.

How can I view my basket contents?

To view the items you have added to your basket, either click the 'view basket' button or the 'checkout' button and you will be taken to the shopping basket.

I have added a product I no longer wish to purchase, what should I do?

If you have added a product to the basket you no longer wish to purchase, click the red/white cross next to the product and it will be removed from the basket. If you just wish to change the quantity, click in the quantity box and change the desired quantity and click the 'Update Basket' button.

How do I complete the checkout and make a payment?

When you have finished adding products to your basket, click the 'Checkout' button and you will be taken to the basket.

  • a. If you have already logged in, you will be presented with the checkout address page allowing you to amend the invoice and delivery address. The carriage will also have been calculated based upon your post code. If you are happy that both addresses are correct, click the 'Transtools Checkout' button to be taken to the payments page.
  • b. If you did not login or have not already registered, clicking the 'Checkout Button' will take you to the View Basket page. The shipping will not be calculated yet as the post code is required for this. On clicking the 'Transtools Checkout' button, you will be taken to the Login or Register page. Here you can login if you are an existing customer or register if you are new to Transtools.
    • i. If you are an existing customer, enter your login details and you will be taken to the checkout address page.
    • ii. If you are a new customer, click the 'Register and Checkout' button and complete the registration page. Once completed, you will be taken to the checkout address page. You will now be presented with the checkout address page allowing you to amend the invoice and delivery address. The carriage will now be calculated based upon your post code. If you are happy that both addresses are correct, click the 'Transtools Checkout' button to be taken to the payments page.

You will now be on the Payments page and are offered 3 choices of payment.

  • Secure Credit/Debit Card Payments - Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro, Switch, Solo and Electron.
  • Pay via existing Paypal Account - Paypal's own secure web site.
  • Print Order Form - For mailing with cheque's or postal order.

Once you have chosen you payment method, click the 'Proceed' button and you will be taken to the transaction page to process your payment. All these pages, including the shopping basket are 128 bit encrypted.

Once your payment has been successfully processed, you will be taken to the order confirmation page.

Can I purchase products without shopping on the web site?

We have 3 shops in Hunmanby, Scarborough and Bridlington, so fee free to drop in and purchase over the counter.

All product prices are shown in black and the red price indicates that it is a sale item and has had the price reduced.
