Rollins Bulldog Tools
The Rollins Group acquired Bulldog Tools from Irwin Industrial in February 2004. Since that time we have invested time and money into raising the profile of these excellent tools by advertising, product development, trade show attendance and with the production of this new dedicated Web Site.
Here are a few facts about us:
- We employ over 50 employees, most of whom are multi-skilled with over 20 years experience.
- We use the same process today that we have used since 1780, to produce Spades and Forks.
- The forge is situated on a five acre site in Wigan where there is evidence that the forging process was carried out in the 16th Century by Cicstene Monks.
- 2000 Tools are manufactured per day, solid forged on English machinery, in ENGLAND!
- Our solid forged products are just that, solid forged from one piece of steel. They are put through a tempering process known as austempering, which retains its flexibility unlike inferior products, which are simply plunged into oil.
- For strength our tools are solid forged from one piece of steel.
- Solid forging from one piece of steel is much stronger than fabricating or welding a tool as you are left with no weak spots. A welded product’s weak spot would be the weld!.
